The Stories of a Storyteller

By Swetha Rajagopal

The greatest stories would not be with us today if it were not for the amazing storytellers who passed them down through every generation. One of these very special storytellers is Ron Jones. He brings smiles to people's faces with the vivacious stories he tells, from parks to restaurants to schools and more venues. When Ron isn't telling stories, he lives life to the fullest at the Croasdaile Village Retirement Community. Whether it be spending time with his husband and their five-year old Airedale, Rocky, or visiting the home left to him by his life-long mentor, Mr. Jones keeps himself busy and is always taking part in an exciting adventure.

I am so grateful to have gotten to know Ron Jones over the past few months. I have learned the value of a good story, especially how it can transform somebody's day or can inspire them to pursue their dreams. Just by following through with his calling, Ron has impacted so many lives and has brought joy into so many of them. Ron's enthusiastic nature is so infectious, and it makes everybody around him, including me, want to smile with their mouth wide open. I want to take that part of him into everything I do, and I want to be able to spread joy to as many people as he has.
